Whats on - for Men

Activities for Men...

What’s On -

Mainly for Men (m4m) - (monthly)

m4m is for men of all ages with a varied programme of general interest speakers and subjects interspersed with other activities.

We’ve held Curry nights, talk about trains, cars, sport, adventure and antiques. We’ve run day trips to museums, car factories, historical buildings and space observatories, plus other interesting destinations..

m4m is a non-threatening place where men develop friendships with other guys outside of their normal working or professional environment. The group is open to men of all ages and background and in fact, less than half the men who are involved in the group are actually members of our church.

Retired Men’s Fellowship — (fortnightly)

This group is specifically designed for older retired men and meets at 10:30am on alternate Wednesday mornings at our sister church, Duke Street Church in Sutton town centre.

Invited speakers bring talks on a range of general interest and Christian subjects and men are welcomed irrespective of whether they any church background or not.

Instep for Men

Instep organises 6 men’s breakfasts per year and a weekend away.

Men from many different churches (including the Chapel) in Sutton Coldfield and north Birmingham meet for Saturday morning breakfasts at different venues.

We also regularly support the breakfasts and Autumn weekends away.

Work parties

One way that men choose to help the church family is by volunteering for manual work.

The Chapel organises Saturday work parties for DIY repairs and tidying the Chapel buildings and grounds. In the summer months this can be once every 4-6 weeks, and all volunteers (male and female) are welcome to come and help for up to 2-3 hours.

As an incentive we are sometimes treated to cooked breakfast!
